Calories in grapes

Today I am grateful about eating healthy. I had coffee, fruit, and cereals for breakfast. Lean Cuisine's Chicken Alfredo, and grapes for dinner. I must admit that I had some cake and cheez puffs because I got so hungry late in the afternoon :D . Oh well, c'est la vie!
A grape has 3 1/2 calories :)

Saturday Breakfasts

Today I am grateful for weekends because I can savor my breakfasts in no hurry.  This morning I had toasted raisin bread with peanut butter and cheese. I also had an orange fruit and of course, my coffee! What is your favorite breakfast?

Women's Bible Study

Today I am grateful I attended a women's Bible study at my friend Denise's church. I have been asking God to help me belong to a group like my Handmaids of the Lord community in Abu Dhabi. And God has answered my prayer by giving me this small group of American women who gather every Tuesday at 12:00 noon to study the lives of great women in the Bible!

This day the woman in focus was Bathsheba, the woman King David coveted when he saw her from the palace rooftop bathing innocently at her house. She was faithfully married to Uriah, one of the king's trusted soldiers. When David sent for Bathsheba, he got her pregnant and to cover up his sin, plotted to have Uriah die in battle. As a consequence of David's sin, his firstborn from Bathsheba died. David repented and from then on he and Bathsheba had been blessed by God with 3 more sons, one of them being King Solomon.

Just another Sunday

Today I am grateful it is Sunday. The day God rested. The day Christians go to church and listen to God's Word. My favorite day is the 7th day!

Wheelchair and Bed Positioning

Today I am grateful I attended a Continuing Education course by Innovative Treatment Seminars on how to position patients in wheelchairs and beds for their optimum comfort and safety during function. According to the speakers, as skilled therapists we must first know what is causing the problem in abnormal posture and treat that. However, if it is something that cannot be remediated, the next thing to do would be to compensate for the deformity. Positioning patients has always been challenging for me as an Occupational Therapist. I am glad I learned so much today so I can help my patients. :)

Kids at play

Today I am grateful because despite having a very busy day at work, I still got to go to the park and watch kids play baseball. It was such a refreshing change of scenery...even for just a bit.

Blessed Monday

Today I am grateful I came home from work earlier than usual. I went for a short hike around our neighborhood and took a few pics with my Olympus SP-590UZ. How was your first day of the week? :)

I have 2 mothers

Today I am grateful, God gave me not one, but two mothers. I have Nanay, who adopted me since I was a baby. She is the sister of my real mother, whom I call Mama. I am so blessed to have them both. :)
